((influential women))

Hey friends!

I'm Lindsay.

Well, I look a little different than that now, but it's me. :)

A few things about myself:
((1)) I'm patiently awaiting summer's arrival. I was over the cold weather the day it began. Summer will always hold 1st place in my heart.
((2)) I love to sew! It's a new-ish hobby of mine. I basically taught myself about a year ago, and have become slightly addicted to it since.
((3)) I'm borderline obsessive compulsive. I like things to be clean, organized, and orderly. It's just better that way! (And all my fellow OCD-ers said...AMEN!)

I'm so excited about being a part of The Influence Network. The last few weeks since I've joined have been so incredible. I've made so many new friends and have learned a LOT! It's such a great place to encourage and be encouraged, to challenge and be challenged, to love and to be loved.

If I had to choose only one thing I've learned through the Influence Network to share with you today (and I do), I would say that I've learned the impact of community. I love having a blog, sharing with whoever might read what the Lord has placed on my heart, and documenting my life. It's fun for me and I enjoy it. But my perspective totally changed when I realized that the blogging community can be a place of incredible learning and growth. A place where you can make friends and build life-giving relationships. A place where you can do life together. It's so easy to be consumed in your own bubble and never look up to the people around you, but God didn't call us to do that! In fact, he said this:

Let us think of ways to motivate one another
to acts of love and good works. | Hebrews 10:24

What a beautiful opportunity we have to spur each other and our readers on to live passionate lives for Christ! I'm so thankful for the calling and the dream God has given to me and to you. I look forward to getting to know my fellow bloggers and working as a community to share God's love with others!

Thanks for stoppin' by!

P.S. Nadine convinced me to add GFC to my blog, so I did, of course. It's over on your left. Feel free to follow along! :)

  7. What a cute picture!! You were precious.

I have been wanting to learn to sew for a few years but I haven't quite made the time to really do it. Hopefully soon! Also... I am ready for summer, but I don't know if it really counts because I live in southern California and we don't exactly experience too much of a true winter ;)

    1. You should totally start sewing! We have so many great resources at our hands right now! I learned through Pinterest and Youtube!!

P.S. I'm so jealous that you live in CA. I've always wanted to visit, but have never been! Someday! Enjoy the rest of "winter." ;)

  21. yes, girl, I hear you. I find myself getting stuck in my own little world + pretty much refuse to look to anyone else, which results in me getting whiny and thinking myself inconsequential. it doesn't get to that point often, but when it does, I know I need to take a good hard look at what I'm doing; or rather what I'm not doing. it almost always leads back to me actively seeking fellowship, specifically with the ladies in this community! it's been so good!
